50 Candidates for 2006 Filed by November 2005 and 10 Candidates Elected to Office in 2006

Political Director Brad Klopfenstein and I met this afternoon to discuss the LPIN and the upcoming 2006 elections.

Brad believes that it is realistic for him to recruit 50 Libertarian candidates for partisan office in 2006 by November 2005. This includes having them file all required paperwork for their run for office.

He also believes that it is realistic for the LPIN to elect at least 10 Libertarians to partisan office in 2006.

These are his goals for 2005 and 2006.

The picture accompanying this post is from 2003. It features a billboard of five Wayne County Libertarian Party candidates on ballots in Indiana in 2003. Susan Bell, in the lower left hand corner, was elected to the partisan position of Town Judge of Hagerstown, Indiana.
