Busy Day for a Libertarian State Chairman

Everyday is quite full for a Libertarian State Chairman. Like anything which is growing, there is never enough time to take advantage of all of the opportunities. I'm thankful that there are so many opportunities for the Libertarian Party of Indiana.

Today I traveled to Clarksville, Indiana for Greg Hertzsch's LPIN fundraiser. It was a fun event. A lot of time was spent sharing with Floyd County Chair Mike Martin and Clark County Chair Kurt Singh many ideas, tactics and the experiences of other county affiliates who have fought smoking bans imposed by government. Jeffersonville, in Clark County, is considering a smoking ban and the Libertarians are planning their strategy to oppose this effort by government to control small business owners.

I talked by telephone with George Sqyures of Arizona, who is organizing the next State Chairs Conference set for Phoeniz, Arizona this coming January.

I corresponded by email with two soon-to-be-employees of the Libertarian Party of Indiana

Lastly, I corresponded by email with a leader of the State Policy Network regarding Indiana and its needs.

Small correction: It's the city of Jeffersonville, in Clark County, that has proposed the smoking ban ordinance.

Thanks Debbie. I've made the correction.
