A University of Massachusetts - Dartmouth senior was visited by federal agents two months ago after he requested a copy of Mao Tse-Tung's "The Little Red Book. See the article "Agents' visit chills UMass Dartmouth senior" .
He was taking his professor's advise on finding original sources, and asked for the Peking translation of the book at the school library.
He wanted the book for his research paper on totalitarianism (isn't the United States against this and shouldn't it be encouraging such research papers?).
Concerning President Bush - my wife today said words to the effect that "you now sound scared about Bush, I've never heard this before about anybody else". I responded with words to the effect that "before Friday - it was only about disagreement on best policy but I wasn't scared - but now I'm very, very scared".

They probably don't want people to understand what communism really is, since we're slowly heading in that direction.
I've read that there is a good possibility this story is a hoax.
