LaPorte County Libertarian Party Given "Special" Treatment During Daniels' Appearance in LaPorte

Greg Kelver, 2nd District representative on the Central Committee of the Libertarian Party of Indiana, reports the following incident in LaPorte County last Friday:

". . . we may have got some "special" treatment when (LaPorte Police Chief David Gariepy) singled out Libertarian Party members for special treatment at the Civic on Friday. While we were greeted at the door by the chief and his officers, asked to leave our signs outside, and were not permitted to take them into the meeting, obviously others were permitted to do so. If I remember right, the guy sitting in front of us had a home-made sign against using "Out of State Contractors" And of course the bright shirts advertising "their" candidates were permitted into the room without question. "Major Moves" stickers and propaganda were passed out to people attending the meeting."

Greg reports that the Libertarian Party of LaPorte County is considering all of its options with regards to this. I'm sure more will come out of LaPorte County concerning this.
