State Chairman Pondering Remains of Skyscraper Window Curtain on Major City Streets

It's still pretty amazing to look down from my 19th floor office onto Ohio, Delaware and New York streets and see no traffic. Even in the middle of the night, in normal circumstances there is constant traffic on these streets. Currently, they are empty except the occasional police car and the debris, such as glass panes, metal girders for the curtain wall (the wall of windows that covers the Regions Building) and lawyer files. The streets are blocked to all traffic, pedestrian and motorized, and for good reason. I'm still seeing on occasion items falling from the building.

Makes me wonder if having a corner office is such a "perk" after all?
