Instead of investigating and finding burglars, child molesters, robbers, murderers and rapists, the Indianapolis Police Department will be squandering resources on seat belt check points in Indianapolis at the following times and locations:
Monday, Oct. 2, 9 a.m. to noon -- 38th and Sherman streets;
Wednesday, Oct. 4, 9 a.m. to noon -- State and Washington streets;
Friday, Oct 6, 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. -- 16th and Meridian streets;
Oct. 9, 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. -- 10th Street and Girls School Road.
Read more about it in the Indianapolis Star article "Police plan seat-belt checks next week".
Indianapolis is having a record year for murders. At least the murderers will be wearing their seat belts, or getting a $25 fine.

The one at 10th and Girls School is right by Ben Davis and on a school day. How much of a traffic nightmare will that be?
