Candidates for Municipal Office

Last Tuesday, I had lunch with two community activists from somewhere in Indiana who are considering organizing an effort to run Libertarian candidates for Mayor and council in their municipality.

It was a very good discussion. The activists understood the basics of electing people to local office. It also is a municipality in which it takes less than 3000 votes to win the office of Mayor, so the resources are easily attainable in order to be competitive.

I hope to see a lot more of these local efforts develop over Indiana in the next few months. This will help the Libertarian Party of Indiana win more elections.
