I read this comment on Wonkette today: "Republicans want to wiretap the world, Democrats think Lite Brites are bombs. I mean, can we get a serious Third Party in this country?"
If we had a political free market, we'd already be there. Unfortunately, the incumbent protection acts commonly referred to as "campaign finance reform", "ballot access laws" and election laws in general have distorted the political market in the United States so that it is no longer a free market.
