WXNT's Abdul Hakim-Shabazz Reports on Marion County Libertarian Candidates

WXNT's Abdul Hakim-Shabazz reports that yesterday the Marion County Libertarian Party nominated Fred Peterson as its candidate for Indianapolis Mayor.

Fred is a neighbor of mine in Butler-Tarkington, a long time dedicated Libertarian volunteer and candidate, and would make a very good Mayor. This is a wise choice for a candidate who is dedicated to the Libertarian Party and has the campaign experience to handle the demands of such a race.

Abdul also reports that other candidates nominated include for Indianapolis City-Council:
Tim McGuire (at-large)
Margaret Kantz (D-1),
Paul Dijak-Robinson (D-16)
Barry Campbell (D-21)

Chris Ward received the Lawrence Mayoral nomination and Eric Barnes the nomination for Lawrence City-Council District 2.

This is the first Marion County convention I've missed since 1998. This was because of a conflict. The Valparaiso University School of Law National Council, of which I'm the secretary, was having its semi-annual meeting, so I did not make it back to Indianapolis until late Saturday evening.
