I Prefer Spending Tax Dollars on Catching Real Criminals - Not to Build Ice Skating Rinks

Silly me - but I prefer spending tax dollars on catching burglars, rapists, child molesters and murderers.

The Indiana General Assembly believes otherwise and that building ice skating rinks in Indianapolis is more important to the tune of $4 million.

Now, perhaps we've caught all the burglars, rapists, child molesters and murderers, but the person on the street and most law enforcement officers I know don't think that is the case.

Of course, subsidizing a major corporation like the Indianapolis Colts is also more important to the Indiana General Assembly and the City of Indianapolis. Maybe Lucas Stadium can become a "safe house" where people in Indianapolis can go to avoid crime?
