It's Over and I'm Tired

I just returned from the last event of the Libertarian National Convention - the Dead Dog Party. It's a party for the local volunteers from Colorado and the people who decided to stay in Denver Monday night.

I'll write more about the convention in the next few days, but here's some highlights on Hoosier Libertarians:

Rebecca Sink-Burris of Bloomington was elected to the Libertarian National Committee as the Region Three Representative.

Sam Goldstein of Indianapolis was a key volunteer for the Root for President, then Root for Vice President campaign (Root became the Vice Presidential nominee).

Former Hoosier Libertarian Mark Schreiber was also involved with the Root campaign and played a key role on Root's campaign team.

Former Hoosier Libertarian and former Indiana State Chairman Steve Dasbach gave the primary nominating speech for Bob Barr for United States President.

Lastly, I had a significant convention. First of all, I was deeply honored to be one of three individuals giving seconding speeches for Bob Barr's nomination as President. Bob received the Libertarian nomination for President after six ballots.

I also was appointed to the Audit Committee of the Libertarian National Committee as as an independent member (not a member of the Libertarian National Committee).

I wish I could have been there!

Congrats to Mr. Barr, Mr. Root, the Indiana delegation, and to the LP for a fine convention!
