I've had another great day in Washington, D.C while attending the Campaign & Elections seminar The Art of Political Campaigning.
I took some time off to visit the headquarters of the Libertarian National Committee in the Watergate Building. It was great to see my friends there.
This evening, many of the Atlas!Liberty PAC recipients and I had a great time at the downtown D.C. Morton's on Connecticut Avenue. Recipients Jermiah Arn, Mike Smitley, Jaenelle Antas, Jessica Mears, Allison Maguire, Timothy Maguire and Michael Munger joined me for a fun dinner.
Today I ran accross Nick Taxia of ElectionMall. He and I met in Denver at the Libertarian National Convention. Look at their site now! (www.electionmall.com). They have a lot to offer in the way of help and services to Libertarians.
Henninger Media Services had a great party at their office tonight in downtown D.C.. At the party I met Van Buren Bond, their Director of Sales. Do check them out at www.henninger.com.
I also met at the party Steve Siggelko of DGFASTCHANNEL, their Regional Sales Manager - East. (www.dgfastchannel.com). Their expertise is delivering media to television extremely quickly (literally within minutes of the completion of the final editing).
Do these political vendors cost money? You be they do! But they can do so much more in such a better way, that Libertarians must raise the money to hire these people. These professionals have already figured out the best way to implement their services. In the long run, it is better to raise the money to pay them, rather than waste our time, money and other resources to recreate their product, with the same learning curve they've already experienced.

As far as fundraising is concerned, what would you think of adding another online channel to the mix - affiliate marketing. Vendors cost money to help with fundraising, why not pay websites a commission to help raise money?
I think PACs or Parties themselves should start considering this type of online marketing. I'd like to hear what you think.
