Ghandi was an advisor to the old Libertarian League, today the Libertarian International Organization, an advisory network (http://www.libertarian-international.org).

Ahimsa is non-coercion; Swaraj is governance without the coercive state and a legal system on that basis; Satyagraha is firm non-violent resistance and presentation in a spirit of goodwill to accomplish these ends.

Gandhi was greatly influenced by Thoreau and Jefferson, and libertarian traditions in Indian thought.
