Libertarian Party of LaPorte County Goes No Smoking in Headquarters Because They Want To Do So, Not Because Government Tells Them To Do So

At its last meeting, the Libertarian Party of LaPorte County voted to make its headquarters a non-smoking venue.

This is very noteworthy because about 1/2 of its members are smokers and the motion was proposed by a smoker. It passed unanimously.

The LaPorte Herald-Argus reported on this.

What's not know is how the LaPorte Mayor and the local "Healthy Communities" busy bodies are taking this. This goes against their patronizing arguments that governmental smoking bans are necessary because the people are too stupid to decide on their own whether smoking is appropriate in someone's private venue (at least this is how I interpret their arguments).
