Indiana Libertarians Attend Cato Institute Program in Indianapolis

Yesterday, the Cato Institute presented a breakfast program at the downtown Indianapolis Westin on Social Security reform. It was presented by Michael Tanner, co-chair of the Cato Institute Project on Social Security Choice. The main speaker was U.S. Rep. Mike Pence (R). While Pence isn't a Libertarian (as neither is Governor Daniels), he is pushing for some fiscal changes in Congress that Libertarians are glad to see be pushed.

Libertarian Party of Indiana activists in attendance included former Greenfield City Councilor Phil Miller, Central Committee Members Jo Coleman and Todd Singer, Monroe County Chair Margaret Fette, State Secretary Rebecca Sink-Burris, LPIN Executive Director Dan Drexler and State Chairman Mark Rutherford.

It was a very nice program. It was well-organized, on time and very informational. Kudos to the Cato Institute. I hope to see more programs like this from them in Indiana.
