Congress Again Attacks Small Business Owners

The U.S. House passed Wednesday a measure that makes gasoline price gouging a federal criminal offense. However, it didn't define "price gouging" but directed bureaucrats at the Federal Trade Commission to come up with a definition.

For a lawyerly analysis of the proposed bill, check out "Yet Another Federal Crime".

If you're the owner of a retail gas station, do you think you'll know whether you're committing "price gouging" and a federal crime? Probably not. Thank goodness for big brother's help in running your business though.
