Planning Underway for Libertarian Party of Allen County Garage Sale Labor Day Weekend

Here's the latest release:

"To Libertarians & Friends of Libertarians,

We will be having our annual yard sale fundraiser on or near Labor Day weekend again in September.

We are asking you to set aside for a donation to our sale anything you want to get rid of.

Planning has begun for this event. Please contact us and let us know how you will be able to help.

We will need:

#1) DONATIONS OF THINGS TO SELL;
#2) VOLUNTEERS TO HELP RUN THE EVENT;
#3) Donations of food/drink to cook for sale;
#4) Help in organizing the goods the day before the sale;
#5) Help with ideas of where to advertise;
#6) Possible help in collecting and storing stuff before the sale;
#7) Anyone who has a truck and can help transport the donations.

Last year we got off to a great beginning. All of your help and donations were very much appreciated. Anything you can give or do again this year will be used and appreciated.

If you would like to volunteer or plan on donating please contact Doug Horner at (260) 704 – 4698 or at Doug.Horner2(at)Verizon.Net and let him know how you would like to help or how much stuff you plan on donating and/or if you plan on donating any large pieces of furniture. Doug is now working 2nd shift so you can call up until midnight.

Even if you don’t have much to donate let your friends, neighbors and coworkers know what we are doing and ask for their help. We appreciate everything we can get!!!

We may need to organize the event into shifts. So if you can just help in the morning or afternoon that would be helpful. As with last year there will be free food and drink for all volunteers.

The money raised last year has helped with some operating expenses along with funding a task force targeting greater public awareness and recruitment. It also helped in maintaining our presence in the public eye with handouts at our annual tax protest. We are doing everything we can to stretch our dollars but we always need more.
