Here's the release from the Libertarian Party of Marion County:
"The Annual County Convention for the Libertarian Party of Marion County (LPMC) has been set for Saturday, April 18 at 1:00pm!
JSReutz Café, 2236 E. 10th Street
(John H. Boner Community Center - Indianapolis)
This meeting will include special guest Chris Spangle, who will be reporting on his recent travels to the Libertarian State Leaders Alliance Conference.
LPMC County Conventions are held once a year, for the purposes of electing delegates and alternate delegates from the LPMC to the state convention; as well as making amendments to the by-laws and receiving an annual report of the LPMC's financial condition. Since there are no elections this year (2009) in Indiana, we will not be nominating any candidates for office this year.
Additionally, Timothy Maguire (LPMC Chairman) will be leading a special group exercise during the convention, for the purposes of leadership and volunteer development.
If anyone wants to suggest an amendment to the bylaws, please send your change request to chair@indylp.org by 5pm of April 3. To view proposed amendments to date please see http://www.indylp.org/2009_annual_county_convention.
Please RSVP at Free Hoosiers so we can have a head count: http://freehoosiers.ning.com/events/marion-county-convention.
Parking is available on the North side of the John H. Boner Community Center, there is also some parking on the East side of the Burger King lot and a few on street spaces on tenth and on the corner South of tenth on Jefferson.
